2009-2010 Season Begins in the Valley!

Well, folks, here we are at the start of a brand new season of theater and if you read the recent Arts and Entertainment section of the Arizona Republic, you know it is going to be a fascinating one. There has got to be something for everyone playing at one of the many theaters in the Phoenix area, whether it be at a small 100 seat community theater, ina college auditorium or in one of the larger professional venues. We can’t cover them all but we will try to give you a sample of as many theaters as possible during the next nine months. And by all means let us hear from you if you have questions or comments to add to those of the reviewer.

MISSION:

Theater in Arizona's Valley of the Sun is burgeoning as communities build art centers and new performing groups organize on a regular basis.

To help the average theatergoer find his or her way through this myriad of offerings, www.theatermaven.com will review shows produced primarily by community theaters and selected professional groups.

Its purpose is to offer a service to potential audiences as well as support to the actors, technicians and directors who work in the Phoenix area.
